I would like to announce that the choir I sing in at the Church of St. Andrews and St. Paul will be featured on 22 radio stations all over the world in the weeks to come. Here's an excerpt from the church website to explain all about it:
The CBC Sing-In packed the Sanctuary for the 30th time on Sunday afternoon, December 13. The choir and organ, joined by an ensemble of musicians, performed a wide-ranging reportoire including all the Christmas favourites and compositions by Canadian composers. The age-old story of the Saviour's birth and a special story from The Rev. Rod Ferguson added the finishing touches to a perfect start to your Christmas season. Courtesy of the CBC, you can listen to the entire 2008 Sing-In. We will post the link to the 2009 Sing-In as soon as it's available.
The 2009 CBC Christmas Sing-In will be broadcast across Canada:
December 20 at 5:00 pm on CBC Radio 2 (93.5 FM in Montreal)
Christmas Day at 9:00 am on CBC Radio 2 (93.5 FM in Montreal)
Christmas Day at 12:00 noon on CBC Radio One (88.5 FM in Montreal)
Christmas Day at 4:30 pm on Espace Musique (100.7 FM in Montreal)
and at various times on Christmas Day on Sirius Satellite Channel 137
It will also be broadcast in more than 20 countries over stations associated with the European Broadcasting Union.
I have to say, we sounded amazing.
Hope you can tune in!
